Dr. Andrew Kwok-Fai Lui received his B.Sc from the University of Sydney and Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering from the Australian National University. He joined OUHK in 2000 as an Assistant Professor, and was appointed Associate Professor and Programme Leader of Computing in 2006. He was concurrently appointed as the Associate Dean of the School of Science and Technology between 2012 and 2019. He was given the title of Professor in 2016. He has also taught at the Australian National University, the Canberra University and the University of Sydney.
He was given the OUHK President's Award of Teaching Excellence in 2016, the President's Award for Distinguished Achievement in 2016 as the leader of the Computing programme team, the IBM Faculty Award in 2012, and the HK ICT Awards Professional Development Category Bronze Award also as the leader of the Master of Science in Information Technology in 2012.
His research interests include artificial intelligence for education, machine learning, and computer science education. He is a member of the IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Computational Intelligence Chapter (HK Section)
