Part-time Distance-Learning Programmes

OUHK Computer offers part-time distance learning mode programmes at postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

Postgraduate Programmes

The Master of Science in Information Technology with Internet Applications (MSCITIA) programme aims to provides students with technical competency in the development and application of Information Technology (IT) through selected areas in Internet Applications. This programme has entry requirements. It offers early exits.

Undergraduate Programmes

There are two distance-learning mode programmes in Computing:

Both programmes offer early exit at the ordinary degree level, which are Bachelor of Computing (120 credits) and Bachelor of Science in Computing and Networking (120 credits).

Please refer to the FAQ for the difference between the two programmes.

There are two methods to apply for credit exemption which might reduce the number of credits and the study duration.

  • Pathways: for holders of recognized Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in the Computing area. Students who are successfully admitted into the pathways will receive 80 credits of exemption towards one of the degree programmes. The application procedure is simpler than the Advanced Standing method.
  • Advanced Standing: for holders of other qualifications. Students need to apply to the Advanced Standing Office of the Registry.
